Or as kids are calling it these days Throwback Thursday! First, let me catch you up on what's going on.
I am right in the middle of Spring Sing show week! Meaning, I am waking up for classes early in the morning, getting dressed for performances in the afternoon, then performing from 5p.m.-10p.m., and somehow managing to squeeze in homework! Most students here are very busy. Since I knew that this week I was going to be difficult balancing everything ,I decided to do most of my homework this weekend while all my friends played in the snow. I made tough decision that I knew would be worth while. It turns out God had a plan to help me too! The test that I spent all weekend studying for was moved to March twenty-six and we have had two snow days this week! So, yesterday I slept in,which was much needed with rehearsal being so late into the night, and then I spent the rest of that afternoon in the library researching information for my bible essay. Oh! I also played the card game go-fish, and war during my study break. Kenneth was with me in the library and I guess he had never played go-fish before. I assume he must of had horrible childhood without go-fish!
Today we have ANOTHER snow day until 11a.m, [until chapel]. I have no afternoon classes on Tuesday/Thursday so, I get another day off! You may want to know why a college student is awake at 7:05a.m. so, I will tell you. My Marketing teacher always gives extra credit on days class is not held; he still wants us to get the material we could be missing. So, I woke up to get the online extra-credit. It turns out the extra credit starts at 8a.m.[the normal time of our class]. I was going to hop in the shower to waste some time but, I have no hot water in my suite... Yep. Let's just say I'm glad I don't have any classes today and deodorant is a life saver. :)

WAY BACK WHEN... I was... Can you guess?
I was a sophomore in high-school about to be a junior ! Can you believe it?
This photo and many others were taken on a mission trip to ACCH (Albuquerque Christian Childrens' Home). We went here every summer for our mission trips with our church while we were in high school. We have now started going to Honduras but, more stories on that later. At ACCH parents who cannot take care of their children anymore bring them here until they can get back on their feet again. The property had about three houses which could each sleep around eight kids. "House parents" would be from all over the states and would work there for a summer or even the whole year raising these kids as there own. As you can guess ACCH is run on very little funds. We would help re-build the location where all these children were staying. [if you would like to learn more about ACCH there is a link below]
This particular year we built a fence/varnished it, put in a concrete sidewalk, helped dig a hole for a soon to be pond, dug a run-off hole for excess water, and got to play with the kids there for a little-bit. My favorite memory of this trip were the snacks that ACCH provided. I know, I know, it is a mission trip so I should take something Godly away from it. Trust me, I do have those memories, but the snacks were the best! They had this homemade trail mix with cheerios, raisins, pretzels, and m&ms that was TO DIE FOR. Also, they had some really good tasting oranges.
This is the same trip we were told to paint the cracks. Ha.
Long Story short,I did not just paint the fences cracks.
Hope everyone stays warm today! I know that my toes are currently numb so, I am going to put some socks on and then attempt to get in the freezing shower. Wish me luck!
Oh, and if you come to the show tonight don't smell me.
