Well, Today is the THIRD snow day we have had here at OC. I like the snow and everything but, after the first time I just want the sun to come out and the roads not to be super snowy. Also, I fell on my tush this morning on the way back from the cafeteria. I was wearing hot pink rain boots with my thermal underwear because I didn't feel like putting pants on over them this morning. I was walking with Ellie and Kenny down a small hill right outside the cafeteria. Ellie was in converse so I said, "Hey Ellie, the snow is pretty deep here so I don't think you should walk this way." Right as I was saying that I slipped in my boots right into a giant patch of mud snow. I was laughed at for a bit then they both held me up. I had snow and mud all over my pants. Thankfully, they took a picture so I can document it forever. I seem to be a bit of a klutz and always manage to fall into mud ruining my clothing. It happened freshman year too. Okay, short story! I was walking with a group of friends on the OC walking trail, it was the start of September so it was still warm enough for shorts. We were walking back by the front of Tealridge [a retirement living area near the school] and there sprinklers has just come on! Me, being my dumb self, ran across the street and started frolicking in the sprinklers. Once I jumped over the last one there seemed to be a huge mud puddle as you can probably guess I slipped and fell. The mud was in the perfect spot that made it look like I had had an accident on the backside of my pants. My kind friends took some pictures [you will see it below]and we walked back to campus. Alright SPRING SING. Basically Spring Sing is a performance that each of the clubs on campus perform for an audience. The winner of Spring Sing just gets the honor of saying they're the best club. They may also get a trophy and money but, I am not to sure of that. Each year Spring Sing has a general theme for all of the clubs to base there show off of. The theme this year is 'Just Duet' , I it is supposed to mean awesome duos? Not sure exactly. Theta Theta Thetas theme this year is DJ & Kimmy Gibler from Full House! It is a super cute show that our directors have worked a long time putting together. We have practice at LEAST three times a week for an hour and a half each night. We learn 'choreography' to the songs we sing and try to get the entire club to stay in sync the whole time. We do a bunch jumping and hollering with crazy smiles. This next week we are performing on Tuesday so that each club gets to see other clubs shows. Then on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we perform at night, until usually 11pm, for anyone who gets a tickets to the show! There are host and hostess and they will sing a solo or introduce the acts so we will also get to see them perform. School doesn't normally get any easier during this time. I have a test this week and two quizzes. Spring Sing is a BLAST but, can also get very hectic. With college being so busy you have to be able to balance your time really well to be a part of the show. Speaking of balancing my time I better study for my Marketing test. Hope that was a good explication and I can't wait to see everyone who is coming to watch Spring Sing! |
